Introduction to LIFT Ireland

LIFT Ireland is a not-for-profit initiative aimed at increasing the level of positive leadership capabilities in Ireland. LIFT, which stands for ‘Leading Ireland’s Future Together’, does this through its eight-part, group learning programme. LIFT’s programme is being rolled out nationwide via a volunteer facilitator network with an overall goal of reaching 10% of the population within ten years.

LIFT Ireland’s leadership learning process is based on eight key leadership values. While partaking in LIFT’s programme, participants are introduced to one value per week, for 8 weeks. Each session, which is run as a roundtable discussion with 4-6 individuals, takes approx 30 mins to complete. This systematic approach to learning has been proven worldwide.

Central to LIFT’s strategy to affect change nationwide is its partnership programme. LIFT partners include businesses, community groups, schools, and sports clubs who have made a commitment to introduce LIFT’s leadership learning process to its members or employees. Partners include AIB, RSA, Vodafone, PREM Group, DCU, Munster Rugby, and Enterprise Ireland.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Partnership Launch

Through this partnership, DLRD has committed to rolling out training for 100 individuals across a series of five events, beginning in September 2019 and running until the end of the year.

Why Get Involved?

LIFT Ireland is a not-for-profit initiative. Every contribution made by a business in the DLRD area goes directly to rolling-out LIFT’s leadership learning process in clubs, schools and community groups in the locality. By becoming a partner, you are not only affecting positive change within your organisation but in the surrounding community for generations to come.

LIFT’s learning process has been proven to positively impact the work environment as workers embrace LIFT’s leadership values in their own daily lives. These values include honesty, accountability, competence, honesty, integrity, and trust.
